avatars are necessary and they are now getting popular day by day.
i just registered as a member of demonoid.
and i felt a need to add a picture/avatar on that site.
an avatar is an identification a part from your name.
also i is necessary because its an visual aid which is more effective than the text.
demonoid allows an avatar of size 76 * 76 px. which is really small, i'm uploading the same avatar here and copy its url and paste it in the demonoid avatar box.

Youtube.com , a very famous and vast collection of online streaming video site in been in the news since a long time. The reason is that it is a free uploading website. anyone can upload any video from his/her pc's hdd. youtube supports a large variety of formats like mpeg4, flv, avi etc. Porn is strictly prohibited. some adult may be there on the site, needs a sign up with a username and password and also a person has to check an 18+ terms and conditions page to views those videos.
youtube is filled with various videos of advertisements, video and audio songs, movie trailers, funny stuff, dance, personal learning tutorials, news and many more on a same video size (640 * 480 ,i think or even less than that).
HD videos can be seen with a paid account.

the videos which are viewed for free can be downloaded for FREE.
youtube doesn't give an option for downloading.
people use various third party softwares which need only the url of the video.

a software named youtube downloader does a good job.
also a site named keepvid.com downloads videos for free.



go to keepvid.com
copy the link or url of the youtube video page and paste it inthe download bar given on keepvid or youtube downloader(whichever you are using)
press the download button and you can download the video in two formats. i.e. mp4(high quality, bigger file size) and .flv(low quality flash video, small file)

stopped orkuting, updating blogs

Updating information on the blogs used to be a very time consuming job for me.
i didn't post anything as i wasn't getting any replies. When i used to check the number of visitors, i founds only a few.
Also, i now stopped orkuting, it was a fun a year or two back when i was introduced to orkut. Found old school friends, joined communities and did fun stuff.
the first site that i used to enter whenever i used to sit in front of my pc was orkut login.
its good for a time being, now i feel it a waist of time. soon will be deleting my orkut profile.

coming to the blogs, i checked out certain blogs and found pretty good managed stuff.
the content of your blog makes it famous

from today onwards, i'll be doing some social work too and will be sharing information about various things in the field of art,computers,cinema etc.
