The reason is that it is a free uploading website. anyone can upload any video from his/her pc's hdd. youtube supports a large variety of formats like mpeg4, flv, avi etc. Porn is strictly prohibited. some adult may be there on the site, needs a sign up with a username and password and also a person has to check an 18+ terms and conditions page to views those videos.
